Personal presence

She walks in and sees me with my headset on.

“Are you on a call?”, she asks.

As it happens, I’m not. But maybe my headset needs an LED on top to show if I’m on a call, listening to music, or just inert!

Comments

The regional administrator in our office constantly experiences this issue, especially since she acquired a wireless headset and thus can be on the phone anywhere at any time. My (comical) proposed solution: A hat with a large rotating blue light on the top of it, a la the sale marker in the American Kmart discount chain, set to go on whenever she's on the line!
