I’m pretty scrupulous in not abusing your attention and going off-topic, but in this post you’re delivering value to me and not the other way round. I’ve got a bleg.
About 3-4 weeks ago I came across an academic paper linked to from one blog on vertical integration in the telecom industry. The abstract indicated that historical precedent suggested it wouldn’t happen. (Obviously this all feeds into the network neutrality stuff, but I’m interested from the day job point of view.) That’s all I can remember about it.
I’ve lost the link. I’ve hunted, and I can’t find it again. I really want to read that paper.
If any of you amongst the collective intelligence of the Telepocalypse readership knows the paper in question, please post a comment.

OK, let's play 20 questions:
1. Was it written by a lawyer, economist, engineer, or tech visionary?
2. Was it published in a journal or on a web site? Any clues to the name?
3. Was it old or new?
4. Was it long or short?
5. Did it have pictures?
6. Single author or multiple authors?
