Should I ask for my money back? Boston Park Plaza Hotel: nice price, lousy connectivity.

Isn’t it about time that when we buy Internet access, we get some kind of service guarantee?

Well, at least you get to upload more than you download...

I stayed at the congress plaza hotel in Chicago for Globalcomm and the connectivity was so bad (40% packet loss) that I couldn't even get into the corporate VPN to download my email.

Pretty rediculous...I would think they would fix it after receiving enough complaints.

A full post of my frustrations that week is posted in this blog entry http://blogs.globalcrossing.com/wifi-sucks.

The WLAN at VON was even worse.

10 % packet loss to the default gateway and round trip times up to 2000 msec. VoIP really sucks over such a connection.
