Was passing through Amsterdam a while back, and spotted that KLM have a club for business travellers who go to China.
So if the airline industry can spin a social networking (and loyalty-enhancing) business from PNRs, surely the telecom industry can get some mileage from CDRs?
Unless, of course, all digital social gestures are worthless as business assets.
