Just a quick thanks to everyone who has looked after me at ETel whilst I was unwell, particularly Lee who undoubtedly had more exciting things to attend to. I’m now at my brother’s place in Sacramento, and feeling much better today, if a little tired still.
I’ll post up a long blog article on my “Wake-up call to Telcos” when I’m feeling better and have some time. But the nutshell version is this: the time has come for telcos to focus on improving their core voice and messaging offerings that bring home most of the bacon — and that’s not Martin’s opinion, but that of their own employees, suppliers and partners. And if they do it well, they’ll deserve to stay porky for some time to come.
