Telco 2.0 survey: Future broadband business models

Along with my colleagues at STL Partners, we've been burning the 2am oil to bring you our latest Telco 2.0 web survey.

This one is really, really important. We want to know the future of "broadband". It's an elastic and slippery term, because different camps take it to mean different things. For telcos, they wish it means "like the good old days, just with packets instead of switches, and a lot faster". For a lot of the Internetorati, it mean "anything but having the telco mediate between me and thee". Our suspicion is that the real answer is "both, and more".

On one level, it's about how the money gets divided up between the players. But it's really about the deeper forces and tensions beween vertical integration (of connectivity, applications, content, devices and payments) and their separation into modular (and sometimes more competitive) components.

It will take you 20-30 minutes of your time to do the mandatory questions (all either multi-choice or numbers). It's designed to be easy to understand and complete, but the questions will challenge your thinking.

If you've liked the last four years of scribbles at Telepocalypse, time to click here.

Oh, and nearly forgot. There's something in it for you, too. You'll get a free copy of the summary results if you complete the survey.
