Charge!
I wonder what the Ultimate Mobile Phone Charger™ would look like? After all, shouldn't Nokia and friends be looking at the "whole customer experience"?
Here's a few starters:
- Would completely switch off when no phone plugged in, no standby power at all.
- Cord would retract, no tangle and dangles.
- Would change colour to reflect the charge state of the phone.
- The phone and charger could communicate so that when being charged the phone's presence state would go to "not being worn" and would allow longer for things like answering calls.
- One step further: it beeps to remind you to charge phones with dead batteries when they come into the vicinity. (There are a few ways this might automagically happen.)
- It would be HomePlug compatible and you could do IP over your home power network without draining the battery.
- Would have built-in retractable US, European and British power plugs.
- Doubles as a USB charger for other devices.
Any more?
